i got a set of new heads in this week and i wanted them ported and polished  . i only got CNC work, and no finish work. I have done alot finer work than this. Here i go with valve guide removal and replacement again to raise them up to  polished perfection.

Would you send them back and have the guides  matched after I re port them or just send them back. now and make them do the work

The last time i did this I did  both heads un CNC ed in one afternoon and both intake manifolds.  i bored ,honed, and matched and then polished them in 4 hrs.

As you know most shops will not take the pain to do it right.  What would you do  This will boast the gas mileage.. alot

My milage motor gets 42 mpg because of this,, Its worth the trouble

The intake runs are pretty good.. i could improve them a little with a 40 grit  1-3/8 dingle flex hone. they still have some unexceptable flaws that could alter the flow.

40 grit is still a pretty course cut and will allow great fuel emusion.

But i want to ceramic coat the exhaust runs and to get a smooth uniform application  of coating in them  Those runs need to be smooth.. Im not going to single out the vinder because they did the best they could to find me heads that were out of stock.

They  made me these up. to the same specs .. Im thankful for that much..  I was told they do not do non CNC work.. Modern tech is nice ..But we all know hand crafted work can get better results.

Its my mistake  i should have asked them to leave the guides out after they CNCed  and let me put them together after i did my thing. here.  i asumed they would polish them ..

Whats done is done..  Im just hoping they will be will be able to eather sell me a set of matched or oversized guides that i can use or lathed in to spec.s  here .

But I am going to to do this, I know i can make them a lot better.. the D was getting 42 MPG when iwent to the mountians a few years ago  I didnt have to stop for gas comming home   Yea i know iwas going down hill away from the mountians,, but i got home on one tank with some to spare
