OK, now this is just strange, 'cept it might be cool.

With the 55 sort of under way, I 'm making plans for a silly car based around all of the spare parts that are left over. Not-too-great pieces that I was able to find nicer/newer versions of, etc.

I was laying out the headlight trim to powder coat, I wanted to do both at the same time to make sure that the color and finish was the same. They fit in the oven just barely, but when I looked at the trim rings, I saw THIS:

I mean almost exactly! The over rack looks just like the chrome bars of these headlamp stone guards. I bet that they could be done up in the same fashion as the wire ones here on the site. Maybe not a look for everyone, but nice and aggressive for an Outlaw, or certainly for what I'm planning.

Take a look at the auction and then throw a spare headlight trim ring into the oven . . . same cool look for $6 worth of oven rack. Sort of . . . maybe . . .
