Headlights needed a desperate refresh..

LEDs are the answer. I got some plug-n-play H2 lamps, not expensive. WAy less amperage/power. What a difference. Put those babies on high beam, switch on the driving lights, and night turns in to day.
LED headlights should be a mandatory update to our replica cars...literally a "night & day" difference....also change the parking lights to LED....they are amazing compared to stock.....1st photo parking LED lights,,,2nd photo LED headlights on low beam....OCTANE LIGHTING in simi valley ca is the place for everything LED

Just following up on this topic - I’m in line at VMC and was wondering if anyone had had any adverse effects using these LED’s? If not, I’m thinking it would be a good idea to just have these installed from the beginning.
The headlights on my recently completed VMC speedster were too dim to make me feel comfortable driving at night. I switched to LED headlights and would not go back.
The LED bulbs have little cooling fans on them (the driver gets hot, not the LED), which means the rubber boot that did cover the back of the bulb assembly could not be reinstalled when I made the switch, so perhaps my ability to withstand driving in wet conditions comes with greater risk, but I don’t plan to drive in the rain and certainly not when it is dark. Also the fans can be heard when the engine is off.
If Greg is willing to install LEDs I say go for it.

Is there a brand or supplier that is preferred over others?
Hey @chines1, where did you get my lights from? They're fantastic.

They are a motorcycle hi/low H4 LED that we've used for many years now. I've been VERY happy with their longevity and they are BRIGHT. I don't recall the manufacturer but can look.
I installed LED H4 bulbs in my Spyder. I have the fluted outer lenses. They are much brighter than either regular or Halogen headlights. Plus, they draw less power, and installing a headlight relay is unnecessary.
The bulbs I have do not have fans on them. I bought them in 2017 and don't remember where I got them. It might have been Amazon.
That’s good news. One of the first things I did to my Spyder was replace the sealed beams with Hella H-4 lights.
FYI- I was unable to locate the OEM headlight seals so I used this, worked perfectly, cut a small section out with a razor and the self stick worked perfectly to create a seal and prevent vibration.
