Headlight Reminder Buzzer

Hey all,

I am one of those drivers that likes to have my headlights on whenever I am driving, night or day. Now I am not sure if there is a reminder buzzer on my car and its not working or what, but I can tell you I need one. I am going to get stuck somewhere at some point because I leave the lights on while away from the car. I guess there would be two options, and I am looking for opinions and experience if anybody has done either...

1) Buzzer on lights so they remind me they are on while the key is in the off position.

2) Hook up the lights so they can remain in the on position and just get energized when the key is in the on position.

I would prefer number 2, but if there is an easier fix for number 1 I am fine with that. Where would I buy the parts?

I LUV the buzzer I used a 78 chevy malabu. Im bad to leave the lights on foggy mornings and the beetle got the same upgrade as well.


I used PAINLESS relay plugs they are neat and you an get them premade or un assembled so you can chose your own wire colors.

I wired my fog lamps as day time running lamps but they also have a switch If I want them off.

It SURE SAVES YOU FROM A DEAD BATTERY.

Relay supplier are a caution I have got Duds from Carquest I nearly fried my harness when I was test benching the additon to the beetle.

I do advise testing them before installing!!!!!!
