Not even sure if that is what they are called. On the top of each front fender where the headlight bucket fits in, there is a little clip to grip the top of the headlight ring while the bottom of the ring is held with a nut and bolt. My older IM had the clip built of fiberglass, built right into the fender while I believe others may have a separate metal part either riveted or bolted just inside the headlight bucket and protruding out catching the headlight ring.
I've searched the net and cannot find a picture of one. Could someone please post a photo of one so I can what it looks like and maybe build a couple or better yet, does anyone know where to buy them or have a couple for sale ? Thanks..
