I have some "low mileage" heater boxes that I have replaced with flanged units for the new header. I think they're 1 3/8" ID. Make an offer.

Sure you do, after a rehab'd a set of German ones !
Timing is everything, isn't it?
Ok, folks, these things are going. I'm tired of tripping over 'em. They're free to anyone who'll either pick 'em up at Carlisle, or pay the shipping. They are nearly new, and in perfect condition except for a little heat-induced paint degradation.

Lane,
I was looking for a new set, it seems that mine are leaking fumes into my interior if that is possible. Let me know what the shipping would be for 06830.
Thanks,
Mel

Will do. I'll look into it tomorrow.

OUCH! I went to the UPS Store at lunch and they quoted me $75 to ship to Greenwich. That sounds crazy! If you're coming to Carlisle in a couple of weeks, I can just bring 'em along. If not, do you still want them at that price? If I get a "yes" from you, please include the shipping address and I'll sen them on their way (after looking further for a cheaper alternative).
Lane,
I've learned that the only way to ship is the good ol' US Mail Parcel Post. I've even sent a traction bar to England via Parcel Post. It took awhile to get there, but the price was right!
Cheers!

Yeah, I think I'll find a box, wrap them in paper, and use Uncle Sam. It's gotta be cheaper than $75!
UPS stores are a rip off, USPS is the only way to go, just as fast and cheaper
Mel, let me know if you want me to proceed. I would expect USPS shipping to be on the order of half what UPS would charge. If you want me to go ahead, please provide a shipping address.

Lane, you have email - Mel
Lane,
I have another set in excellent condition and freshly painted. They weigh a ton. Must have the real heat exchangers inside. My Beck has Dansk flanged ones for the center outlet GT exhaust. These feel like there are no heat exchangers inside. Maybe I should sell those and mount the heavy ones. Carey set me the flanges. Da--n cold driving the Beck from Bremen to Lake Lure in November while it was snowing and around 20 degrees.
I had bought the heater boxes for my MP Lafer. Like you say...they occupy much need space. I'll part with theses also.
