Hi guys, I am trying to source a Porsche 356A floor/tunnel mounted Heater Control, its the type that is kind of pyramid shaped, with a rotary knob on the top. It rotates to operate the heat exchanger cable, rather than the lever type set up of the beetle. I already have the knob for the top, but am unable to find the other parts. Looks tricky to fabricate!! Any info would be great

You would need the upper 6 inches of a 65 or older beetle heater control assembly cut out of a wreck and you would have to cut it out of the tunnel carefully so as not to cut the tube . Then remove the un needed scraps and spot it onto some new pipes tat have the cable Y. I very tricky thing to do. on a pan replica A tube frame car might be a easyer deal.

Go to www.beckspeedster.com and get the contact info for the company. If you call and ask for him or email to him, he's always good about responding. Here's one from the owner's manual showing the knob just behind the emergency brake. I don't know if the position is correct, but if you're adding it to a different car you can probably put it anywhere if your cable is long enough. Carey will know for sure.
