How does their tube work? How does it help airflow if it still uses the stock frame tubes?

It doesn't use the frame tube and that is why it works. On an unmodified Vintage the tubes from the heat exchangers go to tubes that connect to the frame of the car and the hot air from both heat exchangers is forced into the frame, which is too small to handle the airflow. These tubes bypass the frame and connect directly to the tubes that travel under the rocker panels to the front of the car and to the interior heater vents.
Just crawl under there and look up and it will all make sense.
