Can someone direct me to a source for the heater vents that are used? I thought they were early VW parts. but cannot find them anywhere. The later VW's used a plastic moulding, that frankly would look abysmal.

I think Stoddards or Tweeks might have them; I saw a new pair on Ebaymotors a couple of days ago; do a search on parts for 356.
Both Vintage and JPS sell what you need.
I was actually bidding on the pair on ebay, which ended yesterday.
I was pimped at the last minute (literally seconds) by someone else.
Got very pissed and swore and thumped the table, which wouldn't have been so bad had I not been in a conference room with some senior management at the time!
Wireless networking is great, it can certainly help in those meetings that seem to be trying to suck out your soul!

Have you heard of esnipe.com. Iuse it all the time. It places my bids 7 seconds before the item closes. No more bidding wars. Decide if you want it. If so, set your top dollar, place it on esnipe and wait and see.
