Gerd: My position in the queue with SAS is available to anyone who would like to acquire it. My order was for a 356 Cabriolet and my position will save a buyer almost two years in delivery time (which is currently estimated at approximately 36 months from my original order date). I kinda feel like that old geezer in the Pixar film, "UP"... Takes a little while to get going in the morning, but after that it's all down hill!
GERD! I still think that an electric Speedster (better yet, a coupe) would be Uber Cool- especially in any Urban area. Maybe those Tesla guys can do a conversion on your coupe?
Crazy idea? Compared to 3+ years waiting for an SAS? I think I'll move to Subaru power for the new car I'm building just to see if I can finish it faster than three years.

OK, the Red Kit is officially going to be turbo-Subaru powered and finished by October, 2012! (Just hope I don't need any more surgery....)

Gordon, if you and Chris have decided to go turbo suby, then great! I was interested before, but you were talking all that inline 4 VW stuff. Now I am really interested. You might even persuade me to come up to Grafton and give you two a hand, not that you need one!
