I am trying to position and mount a pair of Hella 110s to my 58 chassis. The factory position appears to be above and just inside the horn/turns. Does anyone have these mounted that could help me 1) correctly position the hole in the chassis, and 2) show me a couple pics of the bracket that supports the hollow stud of the lights, and how it is attached to the inside of the trunk. Thanks for your help.

What bracket is on the back of the Hella light , what angle does the bolt come out of the back ?
they were at least 3 mounting designs I know of ,

There is no bracket on the back of the light, just a hollow stud on a gimbal. I just got back from the speedster. I was told that only US delivery cars had over-riders...but my car was a euro delivery? Were there two sizes of over-riders? Is it possible to have both over-riders and Hella 110s mounted? Pics of my Hellas...

Supposedly the "S" bracket is attached to the stud and facilitates positioning. Anybody have pics of such and how it mounts in the trunk?
the photo shows the correct light for a 356 , they made the same light with a stud straight down so you could mount them on the bumper.
Check on the 356 Registry and maybe someone has a drawing of where to cut the holes.
the 356 registry guys will probably call them "nose mounted" fog lights , they do not know they are Hella 110
THose lights I believe have the car body notched for the back of the light to sit inside the body, I know the IM from Bob had the body notched. Just saying.
The factory Porsche bracket was welded on the metal battery box ,
I do not know if your battery box is same as the OEM 356 battery box but I doubt it.
