Hey guys, It's been a long time. My friends Anand Rajani and Troy Sloan said I should re introduce myself on the SOC. If any of you have technical questions regarding engines, please ask me for some help or input. I will read post from time to time and offer help. Hope to talk to many of you real soon.

Pat, welcome back to the SOC! How many engine builders call you up two days before they're going to run your motor on the dyno and invite you over to see your engine? Pat was a great. Not to mention an amazing resource when I had to change my throttle cable and my first axle seal!

I have to say...we're very lucky to have such a master here in Central California. Getting to meet Pat as I built my Spyder was truly a blessing. Not only did a great a fantastic engine, but an even better friend.

How do you detune a 2332cc? Now this is a question I don't get asked very often lol

I read that post and honestly, the guy probably has something else going on in the car to make it undrivable. Even a big displacement engine can be tuned to be drivable. I imagine he has a severe geometry issue with the throttle linkage, giving it an "off and on" feeling on the peddle. It probably has a heavy pressure plate and is hard on his leg. All things I have seen before and understand what the guy is going through

My buddy John Brown is gonna hook up with Mark from CB Performance tomorrow to help fine tune my fuel injected motor that was built by Pat. It blows my mind that Mark is going to tap in to Johns laptop and tune the car from California and we're in West Virginia!! The computer even has a lead that connects to the compressor that bumps the idle up when the air kicks on! Goodbye clogged idle jets and flat spots. Can't wait to open it up.

We use a program called "join me" to do tuning across the U.S, I have even tuned cars in Australia from my office.

Make sure your friend has Mark come and get me so I can overlook the tuning.

Many thanks to Mark and Pat for the tune up on my speedster. The car idles, runs, and pulls like crazy now. I now have the latest download and my buddy John Brown loves the fuel injection set up. His next project is a CB Performance fuel inj. system with a turbo for our buddies oval. It will be a monster.  Thanks again Mark for answering our many questions.  Tom

Was gonna drive down and tow my speedster back from Johns and he called me just before I left with a problem. While taking it for a final shake down cruise it picked up a weird vibration and then started squealing like crazy. We lost 2 fins out of the cooling fan. Now the headache of replacing the fan with a fully welded one.  This may be a lesson for anyone building a new hi-po motor to install one now before it's in the car!
