Hello to you all fom the uk. My name is Jay Ivey and I specialise in skodas. Some of you will turn off straight away but some of these cars have been turned into gorgeous lookinf 550 replicas which is what your site is all about isnt it.

I have been building replica rally cars and classics skodas for a few years now. These are often for other people and for myself.I have a 1961 Skoda Felicia convertible from Belgium that I went an got 3 weeks ago. my eldest car is a 1938 Popular with a tiny 11oo cc motor in it..

You are all probably aware of the uk Spyders that are being built over here based on the skoda donor. Mine is nearly finished and when completed I will take it to the Nurburgring next year in Germany and then on to a large skoda show in the Czech Republic..A 4000 mile journey in 2 weeks..

My car has a 5 speed gbox that is straight cut. The rear suspension to be fitted at a later date is fully adjustable and was built by a chap who used to work for a formula one team.It is based on a gt3 car..

I have 50 ft of 1 inch box section throughout the car to give it strength and reduce scuttle shake. The motor is a 1.3cc unit, with twin forties thats gonna be good for 130 hp. Tiny I know compared to what you lot have but good enough for 125 mph and weighing in at 610 kilos..

I have been looking at your site for quite a while and there are some fantastis cars. I wondered if there were people who worked to a budget just like myself out there..

I thinks its too easy when you have loads of dosh and just pick up the phone and order parts. All the fun goes..

hope you have enjoyed my ramblings.

All the best Jay Ivey..
