I like wheels that are on it (2L replicas?) - there are billet caps available that will clear both the front grease caps and the rear 36mm nuts. Not so keen on the VW/Porsche steel Sport wheels. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/cla...etail.php?id=1198860
There have been numerous threads here on building side curtains. Use Spyglass Search option. For the "pegs" a couple owners used stainless steel (SS) bolts which they heated and bent almost 90 degrees.
Another used SS drawer pulls.

The furrel in the door top can be made from an electrical furrel.
Looking good, Leeman. The 2lt wheels are a nice change. Enjoy the journey of Speedster ownership.

Very nice! Welcome!
Thanks guys, very helpful info
Need folding roof too. if anyone has suggestions
I like the 2 L wheels, he says, racing out to the garage to see, if he can imagine that treatment on his Fuchs.
very nice... I think the picture is flipped side as the steering wheel is on the right Not ... us North Americans see left.
HA - they call it the "Right" side --- sure takes use to shifting with the "Wrong" hand.
What tyre pressures you running guys and gals?
Street pressure 20 front, 22 rear
Track pressure 26 front, 30 rear
While Vintage Speedsters, Hawaiian Gardens, California has tops and parts, it might be cheaper for you (if they fit) to go to Chesil Speedsters in the UK.
The VS Stafast cloth top is $380 plus shipping. There are some speedsters scattered around UK. Perhaps you could borrow one and have a new top (hood) made there for less than a US one with (ouch) shipping would cost.
Just FYI: I just shipped a convertible top from Massachusetts to Arizona - Postal cost was cheapest at about #30 USD. The total weight was 7 pounds. Past experience tells me that same package DHL to UK would be around $80-ish.
Maybe the AZ can play it forward again when he gets his measurements and forward top on to UK guy. There are flat rate boxes available for overseas shipping. That's how I shipped a trans tunnel piece to UK. I think it was around $80 years ago.
Thanks I will check out va stafast , it's a lot more expensive in UK
