A big hello from a newbie (to Speedsters) and hopefully soon to be owner of a Speedster replica. Thanks for the valuable info on this forum and to all the contributors. Unless persuaded, I'm narrowing my search down to JPS and Vintage Motor Car. Looking forward to contributing as I come up to "speed."

@SF356 Good Afternoon. In Concord here, but work in SF. There have been a few times where I've brought my speedster into San Francisco. Please let me know if you have any questions, or want to check out my Vintage Speedster (or drive it).

Stopped by there yesterday and they are building quite a few cars. their quality looked good. I live nearby. So before people start bashing them you might want to check them out first. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I know that there is a new owner.

Can you explain what you posted about a new owner?
I was told by the crew working there that there was a new owner. That's all I know.
If John is completely gone from JPS, that would be news, but I don't think he is. I think I heard that he is focused on Suby builds and the other guy is doing traditional builds, but that needs to be verified and could be incorrect.
That’s also my understanding. Patrick manages the turnkey Classic Speedsters, and John manages the Custom Speedsters.

Well certainly the info I was given could be false. I will be visiting Greg Leach at Vintage Motorcars myself also but JPS was so close that I thought I would stop by there impromptu. Certainly Greg's reputation precedes him. Looking forward to that.
