You could do a lot better for a lot less.

For that much money I'd expect a bigger displacement with dual carbs and a carpet install that fits properly. The tonneau seems to have been installed in an odd fashion. Looks like there aren't enough snaps. Probably tried to replicate the number of snaps on an original but the original tonneau was installed differently. I see now that the tonneau snaps over the top.

The front bow that attaches to the windshield on the passenger side isn't fitted very well. Seems to have too much negative camber on the back wheels. There is a lot of wear on the driver's side door jamb (see photo - paint has ribbed off) for a car with 233 miles. Mismatched knobs on the dash. No tins in the engine compartment, that's a lot of ground to be looking at. The color is not that rare. If it were a factory color on an original Speedster then it'd be rare. Just because no one else has painted their replica that color doesn't make it rare. The engine compartment seems awfully dirty for a build with so few miles.

The ad is long on hyperbole and short on specifics.

I like the whitewalls with that color. (something positive)

It's also on eBay and they're asking $32,900:

As a Canadian myself, I think either Avon gave it away to their top seller or someone from the Pepto Bismol company wanted it for promotional use. Not for me I will stick with German Racing/Artic/Krystal/Crystal Silver or whatever the hell they call the paint on my metallic silver car.

I did see a yellow Speedster with yellow hubs drive by yesterday in Vancouver (West side) the guy lives in the same block as my rental apartment but I don't know him. Anyone know the car I am talking about.

... but BEWARE of MotoExotica. I had a very negative experience with them. Instead of me ragging on them, why not read their online reviews.

Wouldn't it be better if we heard it from you? Nothing like hearing it first hand from someone we know....

Tebs- I've got nothing nice to say about a "salmon" colored Speedster with (as Carlos called it) a "tiny single carbed engine" without the proper sheetmetal around it. Oh; I guess I do have an opinion afterall. I didn't like it the first time we saw it and it certainly hasn't grown on me...

And Chris- I've never seen the yellow one either.

I  believe it is an IM that was worked on last year at the factory... bright bright yellow with yellow wheels .... really looked like a yellow cab.

Yeah, that's the one. He passed me on the street outside of my apartment just the other day (around West King Edward Ave. and Trafalgar Street.) and I ran around into the back lane to se where he had parked but obviously he had an enclosed garage so I missed talking to him. I figure the next time he goes by I will jump out and stop him.

I remember that car.  It was gifted by Elvis to his mom prior to the pink Cadillac.

Seriously, for that money you can have a new one done with a lot better upgrades than that one.

If you are really in the market for a semi custom speedster, you should give us a call, especially for the kind of money.  Just by some of the details of the car, I can just imagine how it runs and performs.  My opionion the person that gets that car will have a night mare with issues.

Yep, it's a beautiful car.  It's great what can be done with these little contraptions.

I generally agree with you, Bob-- but while the pink IM was unique, and may have been one of Henry's favorite builds... it remains an abomination, IMHO. It may well be a giant killer, but you'd have to look at that thing in your garage every day and know deep down inside that you could've had a slate gray or silver car.

A paint job too far.....

A comment I can agree with.

My eyes hurt :~)

Another comment I agree with.

You will have to be very secure in your masculinity.

I'm not sure I want to be that secure in my masculinity, if it means driving a pink car.
