I am in the process of building a spyder and as I hate working with fiberglas I am planning on building the body in AL. So my problem is that living in the frozen salt spray of Wisconsin I have never seen the real deal. As I am going to be in the SF bay area in May I was wondering if anyone out that way knew where I might see and photograph a Spyder? I have hundreds of photos of the exterior but none of the inside. Specifically how the body is attached to the frame. Any advice?

I live in Madison, WI. I've got 2 replicas for you to look over. One is a modified '89 Beck. The other is a Thunder Ranch wide body with a DeDion rear suspension for a Porsche 914 engine and transmission. It's a kit I started a few years ago and is not at all completed.

Thanks for volunteering step one is to develop a 1/4 scale body model and for that it would be helpful to measure various radii etc.

I will get in touch as soon as I know my schedule. I will be there sometime around the 20th.

That would be great. Some of the photos on line are a little tough to translate. Especially those interior shots which I hope will give me a clue as how to put this thing together.

Thanks all.
