A new SOCer near me is eager to buy a fixer-up Speedster.  He found this one on CL near him.  It has some unusual features that stray from suspected CMC/FF origins:  Very mild flares for BBS wheels, raised portion around front turn signals (swear my CMC is completely flat there), and the engine grill doesn't appear to be cast aluminum. I know there are a lot of makers that are long gone - Ryan, Thunder Ranch, etc.  Guess it could be mods made over years but the fiberglass works looks factory out of mold. The back looks different too plus it appears to have a zip out rear window. Pictures are from FL owner apparently. Another ? - does AL require a vehicle title to register old vehicle?

Prospective buyer looking at car in AL today (Sat).  Pictures are mix of new and old.  It came from FL.  Some parts got stripped off and sold. Many of these were parts that have to be replaced due to weathering anyhow (like headlights, tail lights).  Some parts have already been purchased for rebuild (new top and windshield).  The body has attention to detail not seen in other Speedsters.  Like raised area around front turn signals, wheel well slightly flared lips.  did have zippered rear window.  I wonder if it could be out of Mexico?
