Hi, I'm searching for the Automobili Intermeccanica stamped VIN (serial number) on my car. So far the only stamped number I can find is "1977" and I know its a Series I car because of the battery box being rivetted in so 1977 makes sense. Henry said to look on the drivers side door lock plate and on the under dash cross member but so far I haven't tuned up any numbers. Can anyone on the list who has or has had a Series I Intermeccanica tell me where their car was stamped so I can check those locations. Thanks in advance, Jimmy

Thanks Gary. Unfortunately mine does not have the door sticker, and from what I'm learning on the web and from Henry, if its an early early one it likely never did. There's a website I found, maybe intermeccanica.org or .net that states only Series II cars have the sticker in the door jamb, but I have no idea how accurate that statement is. Does anybody know for sure?? All I've been able to find so far actually stamped into the car is "1977". Tks, Jimmy
