A borrowed impact wrench should loosen it (if you also have a decent air compressor).
As an alternative, I have had good luck by placing a 2X4 vertically from the floor up to a steering wheel spoke to hold it in place and leveraging against that with a 24” breaker bar and a piece of pipe on the handle.

@swan4356, did you remove the steering wheel from the hub with the big nut still holding the hub in place?
If so, you might try putting the steering wheel back on. Then, you can hold it to stop rotation while you undo the nut.
A longer wrench for leverage, steering wheel back on to grip & counter force, a few words of 'encouragement', and nut became loose.
The wheel arrived, seemingly overnight.
Very well packaged. Nothing was missing. No scratches, dings or dents.
The wheel has some good weight -- it's a heavy, quality piece! Beautifully made.
A test fit of the hub went well.
If anyone is considering a similar purchase from MSW -- go for it. Chung Nial was great to deal with (by email always responded promptly). Very good value. And I can't believe how quickly I got it. Thank you,

I agree he’s a class act. I believe he restores old steering wheels as well. Might be worth a try.

FWIW, a few years ago I saw a YouTube video that a guy tested all the penetrating oils. (Except Kroil). The one that came out on top was Seafoam’s DeepCreep. I’ve been using it ever since and it works.
I tried a test fit... everything seems OK. But I'm not sure about the part in img 0783. Is it a 'must', do I need it? (meaning did I screw up) or perhaps it's needed for other applications?
Also, I found I needed to take a piece from the old hub (img 0784). It's function is to cancel the turn signal as the wheel straightens out.
I have a bit of an uneasy feeling I messed up.
Your advice is appreciated

- Are the holes threaded or just a pass through? Do the holes line up with the blinker cancel part by any chance?
I’m wondering if it could be the spacer to work with a later model blinker assembly ( a part that would fit between the hub and the blinker cancel part ( pic 784…. Which by the way you did need to grab from your old hub since most steering hubs/ wheels are not sold with that part). than the one you are using., Yhat or the spacer that fits in the horn button hole / which is also a three hole, in the event you had ordered at the horn ring assembly ( which I believe you opted out of).

The holes are threaded and do line up with the holes in the blinker. But I wouldn't have the proper screws (length) to attach it. (none came with the kit)
I was thinking it's a spacer -- not to bring the wheel much closer to the driver-- but for another application as you suggest.
Thanks for confirming I did need to grab the blinker cancel part. I do see this part is available from SCM.
And true, I opted out of the horn ring.
Today, I'll tighten everything up and test drive.
PS. I ordered a plain ivory horn button. I'm thinking about a Porsche crested button.
Would the one from SMC (644.347.821.01) fit? They say it's 79mm, Stoddards has same part number at 82mm...
Yes; it fits very tightly and easily flakes off the paint around the hole. I found a perfect match for the color using a small Duplicolor Scratch Fix 2 in 1 for GM color 338 White and I’ve had to use it a few times.
I purchased the SMC Porsche horn button part number 644.347.821.01and it is a perfect fit in the MSW steering wheel. It's expensive, but MUCH nicer than the one which came from MSW (nothing wrong with the fit and finish of MSW, just the 'porsche' logo isn't accurate due to copyright). The SMC button is listed as being 79mm and fits beautifully. Photo of both installed-

I thought you were in the UK as the pictures seem to show right hand drive, then I looked and saw Alliston. California import is in BC Canada so you can get a lot of stuff from there with a min ship that is reasonable most times.
