when I turn the key to the first click the green blinker light is on but the 2 red lights don't come on and after I start the engine the green light stays on. I want to know why the two red lights don't come on and the green light stays on. have been working on it installed 44 weber carburetor, got them to work now this. Also the tach doesn't work until I rev the engine very high, then it works and the right red light comes on. Read other post checked everything all good.

Sounds like you may have grounding issues, and most probably some stuff is mis-wired.
We did change the coil, alternator, ignition switch and fixed the gas tank also checked the tachs to make sure that no wires came loose. So what are your suggestions? If you could give use a picture of how the coil should be hooked up. We may need to change the gas sensor would that cause the problem, there are two wire on that. Thanks for all your help an suggestions.
There is a decent Speedster wiring diagram in the RESOURCES LIBRARY for donating members. Believe its from a VS but close enough to all for reference.
just trying to get test advice to make sure that it is the wiring before I spend anymore money, I just overhauled lot of stuff.

Thanks but I just don't get it. I will check my ground and make sure that the wiring is correct some how.
Wolfgang's schematic is actually very appropriate for our cars. It has 6 grounds and a bad ground is always the solution to our problems.
I don't understand this schematics I know there is grounds that I need to check but its French to me. I need someone that speaks English. Thanks anyway

Wolfgang's schematic is representative of the rat's nest of wires that is probably located in your car because the chances of your wiring being the same as my wiring or someone else's is not likely.
There is a 4 part wiring diagram available for Supporting Members under the Library section that might help but you have to have a paid subscription.
You need to get the wiring fixed to the warning lights first.
+12V Power from the fusebox goes to one side of each bulb (or to the single shared power terminal for all 3 lights on some gauges). The other side of the charge bulb goes to the alternator D+ terminal. The other side of the oil pressure bulb goes to the oil pressure switch. And the other side of the blinker bulb goes to the flasher relay. If the wiring is correct, and the bulbs are good, it's unlikely that you would have the multiple simultaneous failures necessary to make all 3 lights not work.
Also, verify all your turnsignal lights are actually working, both blinkers and hazards.
Thanks justinh,All the blinkers and my hazards work and my head lights and back lights. Just my tach the two red lights don't come on only the green blinker light not blinking when key is turned to the first click like a check before the ignition switch is turned more to start car. also the tach doesn't work until the car is revved on a high rpm them the tach works and the right red light comes on. I hope that this is a little clearer. everyone that we have helping us states that it must be a ground. Is it to the tach or where do we look we do not see any wires out of place.
Well, that likely eliminates a shorted bulb, bad grounds at the lights, and probably means your flasher relay is ok.
But that still leaves the warning bulbs as likely mis-wired. As an example, if the charge warning light in the dash isn't working, your alternator shouldn't be charging. What voltage are you seeing with the engine running?
The tach might be having signal strength issues depending on your type of ignition, but hard to say anything for sure about it when other things are miswired.
The two red lights in the tach (and part of the rest of the tach, too) work ass-backwards to what you might think, meaning that the senders (Oil temp and oil pressure) provide a reference to ground. Their circuit (which is a grounding circuit) then goes to the bulb(s) and on the other side of the bulb is supposed to be +12V from the ignition switch.
I suspect that your +12V lead to those two lights (and maybe the rest of the tach, too) is either missing or loose or not connected properly. That, alone, would do some seriously weird stuff in your tach with the engine running.
Thanks so much for all your help I will work on it this weekend and let you all know what I find, if anyone else has any more input till then please let me know but I will check on all that you told me, I did change the ignition switch so I will start there and work my way back to the red lights.
