I have searched for 2 night for the post that had examples of signs members have made for car shows that describe our Speedsters (ie: year, make, model, engine, etc)

Sorry I can not located the post.

Would you all be so kind as to post examples of signs members use for shows?

Happy New Year & Thank you

Peace;

Lucky

Correctamundo, ALB! That was the storyboard for my previous VS. Here is my current signage...

I used an on-line decal shop, created my own decal (verbiage, font, color, etc) and submitted to the site. It was shipped out to me the next day. I got a black plexiglass clipboard at Staples (available at any stationary supply store), popped off the rivets for the spring-clip, and applied my decal. VOILA!

This decal is 10.5" x 6" and cost $20. Here is the decal site...

I'm thinking of getting business sized cards made up such as this that I can hand out when needed.  Just hand out the card and exit, stage right.

I'm just getting tired of answering the same old questions all the time.

That is what you get for driving a replica of a car few have ever seen up close and personal...LOL...just goes with the territory. Get it all the time with Cobra and got with the '48 Anglia 'gasser' after it was on the road...just the nature of the game, though I do agree it does get tedious at times.

Here are some posters I made for use at car shows. The poster has been used as small as 8.5"x11" and as large as 18"x24". I made a display frame out of wood dowel, old tent poles, and laminated poster that rolls up to pack away in a tube. But, now use a rigid poster that they offer as a print at Costco that I sprayed with matte polyurethane to make water resistant. As seen in one of the images, it is displayed using Velcro in the storage area.

I have  a set of pages I can put on the windshield that try to answer the most-asked question: "What year is it?"  The answer is given in three parts as: a 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster; a 1972 VW Beetle, slightly modified; and a 2007 JPS Replicar.

As to the "slightly modified", I got that from the instructions provided by the Maryland MVA wherein they try to describe the two categories of old-car license plates they offer.  One is "Historic", described as "as-built" and/or restored, and "Street Rod", which is described as modified from the original.  And so, as far as the fine state of MD is concerned, I have a Street Rod VW.

I like that graphic. Very period looking.

Years and years ago was an outfit called the Four Cylinder Club. It being the '50s, they welcomed all kinds of "foreign jobbies" and busied themsleves mainly with road ralleyes and poker runs and such. They had guys with Bugs, MGs, Triumphs and even a Porsche or two.

Anyway, as logos go, one of my faves.
