I have a streetbeast kit and used the wiring kit they sold with the kit.I have wired the car and all is good, but i have one problem.when i turn the switch off the car keeps running.I have to pop the clutch to turn it off.Something is back feeding my coil.Any ideas on how to fix this.
If you can stick your head under the dash and use a test-light, it is possible that you've either wired you ignition so that the key runs the car in the accessory position or that you've got a hot terminal and a long strand of wire touching another point. Use the test light to see where it's hot with the key in and turned (vehicle not running), and then take the key out and try it again. If anything's hot, your battery wire is in the wrong spot.
You might also see which wires you have coming off the voltage regulator, and see if the one to the switch is hot in the off position.
I'm not a genius with electricity -- I'm ALWAYS out in the midst of soldering smoke -- but the Switch Gremlin happened to me.
Good luck.
