The open engine bay is a clue to how much the builder may know or in this case does not know about keeping a VW Aircooled engine cool and happy. I always suspect a VW type 1 engine that is being run without the engine bay tin in place. Can you say recirculate hot air to exponentially super heat the engine to a premature failure?

That looks to be well built (other than dash board trim). Nice Metal Craft chassis. Very complete documentation. I always thought the kits sold for $14k. 98" wheelbase.
It does look pretty well built although I agree not much thought was put into heat control.
I wonder what is the story on it only having 150 miles. It looks like it was barely driven in 32 years.

My educated guess is that the car will need a lot of sorting. Here's hoping the new owner drives the bag off it.
