I believe it's that time of year to start on plans for a wine tour here in beautiful Nor Cal. It was metioned casually at Knott's. One of the areas mentioned was the wine country in the sierra foothills. Great for Dale, Brian, Ray and the rest of us up here, but Napa/Sonoma would probably be the more popular choice.
Wherever it is, I will be happy to help in the planning.
So Eddie, what do you think?

I live virtually across the highway from St. Francis Winery in Valley of the Moon, just west of Kenwood, on Hwy 12, near Santa Rosa. The winery is designed to replicate an old Spanish hacienda and would make for a beautiful destination or stopping-off point. Not having a car yet, I would be honored to tag along on my Honda GB500 cafe racer.

Chateau St. Jean, Kenwood, Kunde and a slew of other wineries dot this great stretch of highway. Hwy 12 connects to an even larger group of wineries in the Napa Valley via Trinity Road, a 12-mile tree-lined road full of ups, downs, sweepers and twisties and that great Douglas fir nose-candy.
