hidden treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a repro banjo style steering from Troy M. about 6 months ago and it came with a plain black horn button, flat black. He said you can have an old horn button if you want with it. Well, today I was going to throw it away when I don't know why but I took it apart and saw on the underside of the horn button, WELL when scraping the paint off for curiosity , this is what was under the paint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I missing something here????

Looks cool and old school (it's probably a newer repro as supplied with the new banjo wheels) but I suggest you find a Porsche button since the steering wheel is so gorgeous. It'll work and look good until you find the Porsche button.

Ricardo I think I have to disagree with you. It's pretty much a one-of-a-kind thing and I like the idea of leaving it permanently. After all, it is the car of a lady :-).

Jane...what does that represent? does anyone know?? I think is pretty cool looking, but again I'm a girl that likes things that are different.

Try polishing it with some WENOIL chrome polish and then wax the heck out of it.. If it has no cracks or damage it should clean up fine.

What a WONDERFUL find! I have a Golden Lady on my wheel (like yours, but with a polished horn ring) and just love it.

I did have one like this on the yellow speedster but I sold it.(the car that is with the horn button on it) It was just so weird to almost throw away this ugly flat black horn button and then to notice on the back the image of the golden lady. I felt like a kid at Christmas quickly scraping off the black paint little by little and seeing more and more of her. I think I'm gona keep it on the car, with a story like this I think it wouldn't be right to take it off now.
