has anyone put a hideaway turbo from cb put on their speedster. I am thinking about it and my shop guys have given me a pretty good feeling about it, but there is nothing like another opinion, especially from you guys? I currently have a 1776 original engine with 7000 miles on it.
Could be, not a lot of us around but I really only know my immediate family, do have a brother in hawaii, but not him. I am considering going on the trip up to PA. I never have made such a long trip so I'm a little nervous about driving up there, but with a group it would be better I'm sure.
John -

For what it's worth, here's a couple of pics I took of an IM I was looking at. It had an early version of CB Performance fuel-injected turbo-charged engine with adjustable boost and also adjustable idle richness. CRAZY FAST!

This turbo set-up is at least 10 years old and has been trouble free with regular maintenance (according to service records).

BTW - the rust on the fan pulley (and other engine parts) was superficial rust from living at the beach.

I put the cb turbo efi kit. Very complete, worth the moolah. starts and idles perfectly, and the extra kick from the turbo is sweet. I've got about 5000 miles on a 1776. About 2500 miles with the turbo. haven't had any problems. I dont see why reliability would be an issues unless you are constantly on boost or running lean.
