I hand to notch and patch the lid for the throttle body hats one on each side. I also had to notch and patch the lid for the pipe between the turbo and the hats, If you look closely at the engine picture you'll see the rust spot, thats where it was hitting.

For some reason my engine sits a lot higher in the engine compartment than other speedsters thus needing to notch the lid. My stock hinges wouldn't clear my scat shroud so I had to make different hinges.

It a mild setup. 1776 with a tcs-10 cam counter balanced crank. Setrab oil cooler. Whats really nice is the fuel injection which is controlled with knobs on the dash. Its a pretty nice kit. The only draw back is its not laptop tuneable. But I think CB performance is coming out with a new setup.
As for power. We dont have a race track here anymore. But I did get a Gtech meter. I still have a stock trans so launching hard is not an option. Per the Gtech it runs 14.30's at 100 something mph. can't remember. Rev limiter is set at 6700. Its not bad power for a little motor. I hope to get a built trans soon.
That is sharp

I have a question..
If you ran Nickies How big could you go with a turbo on a T-1 with out heat issue . Would 94s be to much with maybe a 74 stroke instead of the normal strokers 78.8. crank.

That dose look neat. I can handle alterng the hood , the turbo and exhaust worry me a little. What is your waiste gates boost set at with a 1776
Its set at 13 to 14 psi. The compression is 7.2 to 1 or there abouts. can't remember exactly. I run 92 octane with no detonation.

As far as how big of an engine, probably as big as you want. 2332 turbo. Its how you set up the engine, compression, cam etc. As for the exhaust. You can have someone fab you up one or go the kit route. The turbo has pretty loud without a muffler. I just went to the local muffler shop and got me a borla muffler. Much quieter.
Barry, Being an old skool, non technically impressed kinda guy. Any header with an adapter
pipe that raises the turbo high enough for oil return will do. (Don't shoot me yet for not running out and buying the most touted brand names in metal tubes+ I know the reasons
for flow>pipe size>spool up etc....) All I'm saying is that it's a pretty simple system. The c/b hideaway is a nice design because it keeps the hot turbo out of the engine compartment---Smart!
Ben? the more I look at it, and read up on the other CB versions avalible. The more tempting it gets. But I bet a 2165 would be some where between outch and POING!! $10K
My friend Kenny thinks this is exzactly what I should do Im going to make a Inquirey to CB ad due to the complexity of it A turn key I really have to do someting really REALLY soon. The bug is starting to make undisirable noises when cold. I knew ,I would have to have a engine when I bought the car in 2005
I have nursed it along for six months With a lot of luck and prayer as it has gotten sicker an sicker.I've done pulled it and snugged the heads once that got me the first year and a half..I hope it will last this summer. But I neeed to save it It has the orignal case. the numbers match
