Wow! Very cool.
Lidar very nice.
This is really neat, have never been able to get my gauge adjusted correctly. As it stands now when it reads 1/2 tank it is almost empty and get to the nearest gas station immediately!
OK.... I'm impressed.
Pretty cool. They put a infrared distance measuring device in a fuel tank sender. They are really cheap now so it makes sense.
I wonder how much Holley will charge?

$100, if you scroll down. Very reasonable.

When I saw they were using LIDAR I laughed a little bit. The first thing that came to mind was that I could measure fuel level AND give myself a speeding ticket at the same time.
I'mma wait for the 5-Cent Racing version.
Don’t hold your breath, there, Señor Nova-ista….
That would be a “great leap forward” for the Five Cent Racing Electronics Division. I’m still figuring out how to run my “Bit-Scope” logic analyzer…..
I’d like to try one, but right now my sender is in the shallowest part of the tank. I need to get on the stick and have my aluminum tank built.
Looking forward to someone tryin it out with a VDO gauge.
What I never knew was that the five-screw-just-slightly-a-symmetrical-pattern-so-you-can't-put-it-in-wrong-but-absolutely-will-try-by-getting-one-or-even-two-screws-started-before-you-realize mounting system is an industry standard.
I didn't know the screw pattern is an industry standard. And, apparently, it has been for a long time.
You learn something every day.....
... and I thought the GPS speedometer/odometer technology was a bridge too far. What's with all this gee-whiz technology integrated into all this old school automobilia? Where is the authenticity? I am OK with junction effect electronics in my ignition, and I like what LED headlight bulbs do for night driving, as these end up well hidden. And I think the GPS speedo gauge does comes with a VDO type skin. If this thing can be married to a VDO combi gage, well I guess I could stand it. which is to say that you can have one if you want and I won't ridicule your authenticity bona fides . . .
