Just when you thought you liked to purchase a new set of wheels--this is insane!

I have seen RESTORED Fuchs(mid 70s/dated) sell for $8000(FOUR). It's interesting and somewhat valuable that FUCHS have their production dates engraved on each wheel; apparently certain years present with greater value as is much of the Porsche rage.
Those are 4 1/2's, which the VW crowd (who are as guilty as the P guys for driving up prices for these things) fancy, as well as being correct for very early 911's. Certain wheels (early 5 1/2's and early 6's, as well as other certain limited run sizes/offsets (911R 6's and 7's come to mind) command stupid prices, but the "buy it now" price is only what they're asking, and they didn't necessarily sell for that.
@Banzai - what set sold for $8,000?
Glad I hoarded 3 sets when I did...
...or for those that feel $8,000 is chump change, I'll just leave this here...
Note: at a recent Porsche event in L.A. where I bumped into these two guys...

I was thinking of selling my FUCHS at one point(early on) despite being in MINT condition and restored by AL REED(a Porsche FAVORITE) but caught a bit of heat as the rears were WIDENED, EXPERTLY I may add. The "widening" is apparently a VIOLATION of true PORSCHEOPHILE moral code and therefore has lost its bold intrinsic value. Goodness...I'm glad that I've taken to them despite my BABY MOON disposition and they truly look good on my SPEEDIE. I am grateful for them and that Henry of IM did an amazing job along with AL REED on the "widening" and restoration of them.
Did anyone else notice there are Porsche specific bungee cords in Stoddard packages!?
I wonder how much they cost?
THose fake knock offs are an outstanding value not to mention awesome looking.
I think our fake Speedsters are an outstanding value as well.
