Hood /Bonnet straps needed yesterday.....

Went down to eyeball a fitting session on the camber compensator I'm developing and when I went to open the bonnet,...."SNAP".!!!!!

Can we say three piece handle????? Don't ya just love it????

Got the bonnet up and attempted a repair.....The condition of the latches ( worn out and poorly installed ) leads me to look for some other means of securing said bonnet.....

I like the leather belt system I've seen on some of the speedsters, but haven't a clue as to who stocks them....Will try Carey....

Any tips on installation/maitenance, or any and all help, would be appreciated.....

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....

Danny and all.......The release handle fractured at the cable attachment point and one hinge point......Carey has a metal handle in route to me as we speak......I'll probably go with the straps as an appearance item.....Finding all the parts (handle, hinge pin, cable, etc.) has kept me busy ....and neglectng my wife, to hear her tell it....Well, no one said this hobby didn't have it's DARK SIDE......
