I've got an old CMC with the typical crappy parts. It came with a pot metal chrome spear for the hood. For reasons which are probably legal in nature, CMC didn't include a Porsche emblem, although there is a little indented area on the spear for an aftermarket one. I had no trouble finding one at the time (20 years ago), and my dad epoxyed it in place. The pot metal is now all pitted and I want to have it chromed, but if I try to get the emblem off, it's going to break. I tried to find another one and, although there are some out there, I don't know if they are the same size as mine. I've played the game of calling up the suppliers and asking them what the dimensions are and they all say that they don't have one in front of them and they don't know (and can't find out) the dimensions. I know there are aluminum spears out there, but I'd have to drill new holes in the hood. Any thoughts, Speedster gurus?
