Hood handle gasket for VS ??

Hello

Some time ago I read that the hood handles can be different from vendor
to vendor.
I would like to add a gasket under this handle on my 2008 VS, does anyone know if the one in my link here fits VS ?
(I have got a small crack in my paint since there is no gasket today )

The difference might only be hole location on the small end.

I moved a stud on my VS hood handle to match the holes in my hood from my old CMC handle.

That looks like the gasket set (mine was from NLA) that I installed on my VS for the same reason you mentioned - to hide a paint chip. The set fit without modification and the only problem I had was unscrewing the nut holding the front of the handle to the hood. The latching mechanism's nuts make for really close quarters and I think I resorted to using a thin crescent wrench from a bicycle toolset to unscrew it.

Zeke - I can only find this (see link) but the text says two pieces but the picture doesn't look to fit at all ?
Is that the one you got ?

I think NLA posted the wrong picture but I would just get them from Sierra Madre to be on the safe side. It's a two-piece gasket set and Sierra Madre's looks the same as the set I used.

BTW - Stoddard.com also carries the gasket set and it bears the same part number as that on NLA's site. However, their picture shows the correct two gaskets for a 356A handle.

Think I will order from Studdard then, since the number is same and better price :-)

For some reason when you order from Klasse356 it ends up being shipped from Stoddard. I've had great service from Ed at Klasse - highly recommend him.

Klasse has good stuff and so does Stoddard's. I got mine from one of those two years ago and they fit without modification. Also sprung up for genuine Porsche seals for door handles (the repros that came with the car deteriorated instantly) as well as for the horn grilles and the rear engine compartment grille. They do make up for a nice finished look in the car.
