Anyone got a totally baked "A" hood handle for sale? Or even a decent one? Or anything in between? I already have a "B/C" one that I tried cutting and reshaping, but it didn't quite work out.

I KNOW how those cheap-o-repros pit, someone MUST have replaced theirs with a good one and still has the crapped-out pitted one in the garage.

Please . . .

The cold weather has already begun to settle in here in the North East and it's time to begin detailing/refurbishing the little bits and pieces. The in-door weekend kinda stuff that really keeps you going. I need a hood handle for the coupe and figure that I'd check in here first.

Anyone?

Thanks !

TC

Thanks Cory,

I already have two of those 356 B and/or C handles. I'm looking for a trashed "A" handle right now. More tapered, thinner, a much more "flowing" profile. I figure one that's pitted or even broken in two will work out for my needs just fine.

Hey, speaking of handles. You ought to try 1974 Beetle hood handles on your doors. They're really kind of elegant and tapered and have one hole already drilled for the release button. Two or three more holes and done.

Or, even regular Speedster (early Beetle) interior door release handles mounted outside on the door with the taper towards the front.

I doubt that anyone would recognize the source once they were mounted on the car.

Maybe?
