Hood latch adjustment

My hood latch will not release on my cmc speedster. Are there any adjustments or suggestions on lining the cable running to the door sill?

Manually release it by reaching up under the latch and pulling it to the left, have someone pull the cable knob as you watch the latch movement , cable might have stretched a bit or, the latch rod ( hood) that is inside the spring may have worked loose that gets adjusted with a screwdriver and a 13mm open end wrench.
