ok, so if you remember, I jumped on a great deal for a Moto-Lita Derrington steering wheel and Porsche horn button.   I had a moto lita on the car, but liked the one I just bought better, and also wanted the Porsche horn button, as the one that came with the car was a generic horn button that was either chrome or polished aluminum.

the button that was ther has a tab on the base for the electrical connection.  Just one wire with a tab style connector.  The Porsche button has a copper post with a set screw on the side.

also, the button seems to need an o-ring, or something to seat into the hub properly

does anyone have diagrams, picture or just advice on what pieces I may need a o complete the install.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think our horn buttons are the same. I used (I think) a piece of 14awg wire, about 1.5 inches. On one end I crimped a male spade connector and the other end went into the hole of the horn button and the set screw was tightened to the point it breached the insulation of the 14awg wire. Connect the male spade to the existing female spade. (Mine had an existing female spade connector that attached to my previous horn button)

As for fitment. I slightly bent the corners out where the plastic bottom is joined to the chrome ring. On my steering wheel the inside diameter was a 1/16 larger than the horn button so I flared those corners out a little over a 32nd of and inch (1/16 / 2 = 32nd).

Something else I did was to drill a small hole but big enough to get a small allen wrench in to push the horn button out once inserted in!

Hope this helps.
