We have a regional big box store chain called Meijer. They have those replicas shown above that only cost a penny to ride. Sometimes I am tempted to take advantage of the bargain.
Get together with a couple of friends borrowing the senior scooters at Walmart, race to the back wall where the TV's are, you must do two 360 degree donuts ( this is when you'll create your fan base) Then return to the front of the store where the Walmart Security Guard will declare the winner. " We've done this more than once, It's a blast :~)

By lurking at most of the Walmarts in WV, I was finally able to get a picture of Alan Merklin's scooter
