If you are in SoCal and like music of the America era, still being played by the ORIGINAL members, Hall and Oates and Roger Hodgson (lead singer and songwriter from Supertramp) will be at the OC Fair in August.  We saw Hodgson at the Taste of Newport last summer and he was fantastic.  Have seen America and H&O several times since the late 70's and they have never failed to give great performances.

I saw America in Riverside at the Fox about a year ago, pretty regular guys. Sounded like they are surprised as anyone to be doing the same songs 43 yrs later!

America was a little early for me when they came out, but the "Little River Band" that opened for them was more my era. I liked America alot more, Dewey and Gerry still together all these years, I guess Dan Peek left in 1976. The organ was the only original member of LR band left LOL!

Alot of these bands were before my time but made such amazing music its a real privelidge to see them at all. Saw the Zombies,Spencer Davis Group and The Yardbirds at Humphreys in S.D. a while ago, alot of replacements in them too except the Zombies who were fantastic! Of course Brian Wilson was phenominal too!

Saw George Carlin just before he kicked off too, great comedian.

But I had fun watching Devo, Pretenders (original) Bowowow, Adam Ant and Two Tone Bands back in the day!

Yup, I saw H & O about 8 years ago and they are still very good. Michael McDonald was there as well. They all still know how to perform. Can't say the same for CSNY, IMHO the only one who should still bother is Neil Young!

Daryl Hall lives kinda near me, as well as other performers, because of the proximity to NYC I think.

I've been with a few lime lighters over the years....quaffed a few ales with OJ Simpson in Antigua many years ago, threw Chuck Berry out of a Woolworths store up in Ottawa back in the mid '60's and have been in the ring with Mike Tyson in the mid '80's but I'd still like to sit with Chris Hillman for a couple of pints one day. He played in North PA last year but I couldn't make it. He's up on the list....Talkin' about lime lighters...where's Aaron White these days, eh ? He's gotta be one of he funniest guys I met at Carlisle in 2011.
