Thanks for all the kind comments about my wonderful wife, Carol. She's tried to keep me on the straight and narrow for about 45 years - although she had a real hard time in the late 60's and early 70's. We were married in '75 and I've finally learned to get the last word in: "Yes, dear."
The best parts of any speedster trip for Carol are the people and the destination. She only spent a small amount of time at Carlisle, and left me alone there for two whole days while she went off and visited her mother in Jersey - her loss, my gain (ended up buying a speedster three weeks later). But she had a glorious time with the folks, rides and tours at the Colorado Gathering, and I've convinced her that the whole SOC group is that way. Morro Bay - with good people, a nice place to stay, the wineries, parade, and dinners - is right up her alley.
Of course, the four days we'll spend driving in the truck took some convincing.... Susie, putting on a tux is a really small price for me to pay for this concession.
As far as the church, I can't remember exactly where it was - but I bet Dusty can provide specifics. As a matter of fact, there was a wedding going on the afternoon we stopped. Jennifer and Darrin have a phenomenal picture of the bride at the front door - maybe she'll post it.
It'll be good to see everyone in a few weeks!
Best regards,
Cal
