I'm thinking about adding hounds tooth inserts.
Is there anyone out there that has them in
their speedster? These cold winter months
have me thinking of all sorts things I want to do
before spring .

Lots of hounds tooth material available from Alabama Crimson Tide. Especially this Yea 
IIRC, Porsche had several different houndstooth creations in the 914/924/944 models during the 1970's, between carpets, door panel inserts and seats. The seats had huge houndstooth sections, so you might try googling those models and click on "images" to see what you get. Those seats were usually the first thing to be replaced, often with all-black Recaros or something. I honestly have never seen any houndstooth patterns in a 356 model. They're probably out there, but I haven't seen them.
Nothing says the 1970's like Houndstooth seats!
I just did a search on "Porsche 944 Interior" and got a lot of hits - most of them look normal....pretty, even.
But then, there were a few of these.......WHOA!
The 924's had some pretty catchy plaids, too:

Autos International in California many different patterns. They did my seats in my 912, sadly I did not opt for the houndstooth inserts as my certificate of authenticity showed the original build sheet just had the plain seats. In retrospect I should have had them done that way.

Gee.....About 4 or 5 posts down in that thread is a picture of seats with Houndstooth inserts - And it looks pretty darn cool!
Black and white houndstooth inserts are standard, I think, on the 50th Anniversary edition of the 911.
