How do I get shine back in old gelcoat?

My guess is that this has been a subject in the past, but I can't find any info on it. My '81 CMC speedster, which I've faithfully owned for 15 years, has faded gelcoat that I can't seem to get to shine any more. Does anyone know of a product or process that will bring it back? I don't want to paint the car, as the gelcoat has proven to be very durable.
