Gerry,

Are you doing an auction or are you looking for a free appraisal?

And I bought 3 of them for $25 (all) off eBay a couple of years ago... and I know of one party who "apparently" paid $335 for one of them in another auction.

So what's it gonna be? An auction or something else? You have been offered a pie and I raised the bid to $50. Do we have $60 anyplace? Maybe a pie and a vintage bottle?
The reason that I offered up a pie is 'cause I traded my "Corpse Badge" to Cory for a set of leather hood straps, and HE traded it for a pie. A damned fine by by his account, but just a pie.

Given the proven past worth of these things, I thought that a pie was a fine and reasonable estimate of it's value. If I didn't have a use for the hood straps, I might have offered those instead . . .
Gerry, I traded the Corpse badge I had for a really, really big apple pie from Michael Morris, in Katy, Texas. He was (and maybe still is) working on a 359; a Speedster-style build with 959 looks and a twin-grille decklid.
He was having a hard time trying to get motivated about his project, and I thought a cool badge might do his morale a boost. I asked him to pay it forward sometime; future considerations was the deal.
He mailed the biggest, Texas-sized pie I've ever seen to me, and it fed everybody on shift at the firehouse with lots left over.
I bet'cha that pie was a good fifty bucks, easy.
It damn sure was good. That badge would've been abit harder to digest.
At about the same time, I sent a few bucks to our man Paul Harford in California for some grille badges to have tome stock to rotate and maybe trade. One of them's the 1964 Tour de Europe badge on my license plate, and the other is my ADAC badge, since replaced by a Spyder Club badge from Angela.
Seeing as how my car's a sort of Speedster-Spyder hybrid with a Type IV engine ... Well, nothing else really looked the way I wanted them to look.
Grille badges are EXCELLENT trading stock here. If there's something you want, or you're super hungry, you can trade that Corpse badge for pretty much anything.
I'd be willing to bet you could get a windshield or a new driver's seat for it, if you held out long enough.
I was happy with the pie. Fair trade, good guy, made a friend in the process.
Karma.
