I am having some heating-cooling issues lately. I installed my Gene Berg thermometer dipstick last week, and since then, after I drive my car for 10-15 min at 65mph the oil light appears and stays on(some times flickers too). Even if I drop down to 55mph, still the light is on or flickers. Now my question is, lets say that I had problems since day one (my engine has around 2500 miles on), wouldn't my engine have major problems by now? I have driven my car in 100 degree ambient temperature for 1 hour at 75 mph, and it run strong with no problems (before my GB dipstick). The valves were adjusted a few weeks ago along with timing. Today I replaced the spark plugs. Plugs #1,#2 look a bit darker than #3,#4. I'd like to know if the carburation is the problem. What do you think?
I was hoping to make the Dallas run,but not sure yet.
