If you followed the thread about the headlight switch and wiring, this is a continuation. Sort of.
My car doesn't go out much at night so, this problem is just recently discovered.
I went for a cruise, a couple of nights ago, to see if there were any additional problems. I was looking for heating of the switch and wiring. All is well. The lights are bright and the switch and wiring is cool.
There was another problem. One of my headlights was up in the trees. When I got home I attempted to adjust the headlights but turning the screws did nothing. After removing I discovered the problem. It's that cheap chinesium again!
If you have original Hella headlight assemblies, then your are truly blessed. These things are junk. All of the problems relate to rubber being used as a flexible joint. When attempting to adjust the headlights the adjuster pulls out of the rubber.
After making the changes I can now have the lights adjusted. I doubt that they can ever be adjusted on the car. I had to take them off several times, trial and error, before I got them right.
Last thing, The adjusting screws need to be moved together. The number of turns you make on one need to be duplicated on the other in the opposite direction. The screw at the 7 o'clock position moves the beam up and down. If you turn it in. Turn the other screw out the same amount.
