How to delete posts and alerts

To delete one of your posts: go to the bottom right of your post and look for the litte "gear" icon. Hover over it or click on it and delete will be one of the options.

As far as I know, you can't delete Alerts, but you can clear the indicator that you have some by clicking on your screen name at the top of the screen and choosing "Alerts."

The numerical counter by your name notifies you of the number of “Likes” your posts have received and the counter also lets you know if you have a PM or Private Message.

Put your cursor over the blue box at the top right of the page and a drop down box opens up. If you have a PM you’ll see a number next to “Private Message”. Click on that to see the message. If all of the numbers are next to “Alerts” you can select that and a page opens showing you who liked which messages. When you go back to the main page the counter will be reset to zero. The “liked message” alerts also expire after a few days so they’ll eventually go away on their own.
