First, the disclaimer. Don't do this unless you're willing to scrap the idea of a convertible top. I don't know how to make one of these that comes off.
I'm only kind of kidding. I didn't do this with the intent of making a how-to; I took enough photos of the process that someone could probably make one if they wanted to. The picture captions have some info in them that might be useful, too.
Anyway, start to finish it was about six hours and now it's done. I'm happy. Three days until Carlisle.

Cory and Jim, I'll show my county boy / redneck side for a moment and tell you that starting a project the likes of which you have is akin to combing a cat backwards, you know your going to get swatted, it's just a matter of when! Guys, I'm sure you had your low points on this project, and I'm glad to see that you've stuck with it, especially since my plane tickets I bought are non refundable and if you guys didn't show up they'd be nothing to look at except the plain and normal ole speedsters...!

I'll look for the crowd of old geezers gnashing their teeth and pulling out what hair they have left, and mumbling that he's ruined a speedster...., I'm sure you'll be in the middle of it. Anyway, nice job on thinking outside the box..., my hats off to you.

David
Awwww ... Shucks. Thanks! We did the final pre-Carlisle checks yesterday and made the dashboard. There will be some photos up later today -- in a couple hours -- but I've got a couple other things to do first.
Of interest, the rear decklid is fastened on now, too. And look for the front turn signals to be ... well ... adhesive. They're stopgaps.
AUUUGH!
