How To Move Speedo to the Right?

I moved the Speedo to the right and there was plenty of cable length.

In addition to looking correct, it's much easier to see the Speedo as my eyes track better to that location. No regrets.

So you think that the cable that came with my Vintage Speedster would be long enough?

Mine is a Beck, but I can't imagine that the dimensions are much different.

Heard that some guys had to use a cable from a VW bus. Any info on this?

Not too long ago I needed an old speedo cable made up. I called a speedo repair co. and they made me one on site at my home. It wasn't expensive either..........Bruce

Here's lengths of various models VW speedo cables - you want gentle curves NOT sharp curves.  With SE Beck's new GPS driven driven speedo (no cable) it can be easily moved anywhere.

Looks like bug/Ghia/T3 cables come in 45.94", 49.84" and 54.72"

I assume the connecting nuts are same on all VW speedos.

Oddly enough, if you have a Suby, regardless of GPS speedo, you still need the speedo cable to drive the sender that sends the speed signal to the computer, but it doesn't have to be attached to the back of the gauge anymore.

Yes to the bus cable.

Be sure the cross tube isn't in the way.

I like keeping it on the left where it is harder for my wife to see it.
