I have a cmc speedster built in 83. It has a hydraulic clutch system. The master cylinder rod going from the master cylinder to the couch pedal broke in half. How do I get to the master cylinder and how can I repair the shaft.
Should be where the stock master cylinder is if you have VW pedals. So remove left wheel and look there. It probably can be rewelded - of if maker on it - replace it.
thank you for the information. I will remove the left wheel and check for the master. I looked without removing the wheel and did not locate it. However, I may have a better view with the wheel removed.
If it's not right next to the brake master cylinder, you might have one mounted within the tunnel like I had for a while. If so, there should be an access panel on the tunnel under the carper on the passenger side. Pictures of the pedals and brake MC area would help us help you.
