HWY 101 CRUISE SUNDAY SEPT 9TH

For anyone interested: The 2nd annual hwy 101 car cruise is being held this Sunday between Oceanside and La Jolla. You can pay the entry fee of $25.00 to be eligible for judging. Or, if you don't want to pay a fee you can just join in anywhere along the route. The link below has all the information.

Hey Jim,

Yes, I plan on doing the 101 cruise on Sunday. Not sure if I'll be doing it in my 56 Chevy or my speedster. It sort of depends on how many passengers want to come along. I'm not going to do the official registration ($25.00). But instead just do the cruise. I live just two blocks from Hwy 101 so I just have to drive down the street to join in. If you're interested in meeting up someplace along the way let me know. I'm just off Tamarack Ave in Carlsbad.

Also:
I'll be driving the speedster up to Julian on Saturday (tomorrow)and hope to meet up with some of you other speedster members at the park and ride on Hwy 76 just west of I-5 between 10 and 10:30 am.

Here are couple of pics from our cruise with Bill Beckett and his SWEET '56 Chevy Bel Air! The weather was BEAUTIFUL and we had a great day of cruising the beach with a lot of other classic hot rods ending with a delicious burger at an outdoor cafe at the Marina!

You should have been a photographer there, Doc. It's always nice to read the post-event threads from SoCal cruises, just to see the pictures of the beautiful Speedies, restos and resto-mods cruising the beaches and biways out there.
That's a gorgeous Chevy Bill's got. Probably glasslike inside and out, too, huh?
