Hydraulic clutch question

First off, this isn't about a Speedster or Spyder but I know there are guys here who can answer this question.

'62 Chevy pick-up rod with small block Chevy engine, four speed, and hydraulic clutch setup (Master and slave).

Get in it in the morning and the clutch feels and works fine, but after driving 5-7 miles, runing through the gears maybe four times, the clutch pedal extremely stiff, taking excessive force to depress the pedal far enough to move the clutch off the flywheel.

I knows it must not be releasing pressure somewhere, but where do we look?
